THE LONG VIEW RV HISTORY...When Fran and Shirley Roberts opened their RV business in 1959, they had no idea that 50 years later they would be the largest and oldest family operated RV business in the world. Now with premier RV locations in Connecticut and Florida, they are nationally recognized as an industry leader. The Roberts' began in business over five decades ago, on the Mohawk Trail in Greenfield, Mass. The success of the RV sales business made it impossible to continue the growth trends at the original location and a construction project was completed in 1984 at Northampton, Mass. with the result, a state-of-the-art RV facility. The RV sales lot is 5 acres and the list of lines represented so long, they simply advertised as having "All Major RV Brands".

In 1993 the acquisition of a prime location in Windsor Locks, CT. brought with it the need for a new name that would better suit the company that now had two major facilities and Long View RV SuperStores was born. The site is just North of Hartford, CT, and adjacent to the Bradley International Airport exit. The CT RV location is headed up by son Frank Roberts who has over 30 years of experience in the business. The Windsor Locks location also has a 5 acre RV sales display lot, a gigantic RV parts and accessory store and a busy RV exclusive service department.

In 1995 Long View RV expanded yet again, with the formation of Long View RV Rentals, Inc. By 1999 the rental business had grown to nearly 40 units in its fleet...which caused the need for its' own location, right across the street from the sales, service and parts location in Windsor Locks, CT. They now maintain over 60 rental RV units, brand new models each year, for vacationing families.

In 2000, a sales outlet was opened in Canaan, New York featuring Gulfstream travel trailers, followed closely in the fall of 2001, with the opening of a Leesburg, Florida location, then in January of 2004 at Kissimmee, Florida. In December 2004, Long View RV SuperStore's largest location opened on a prime 22 acre lot, just off I-4 exit 14, McIntosh Road on the outskirts of Tampa, in Dover, Florida. This giant RV flagship location is operating as construction nears an end on some of the buildings. It's central Florida location is so easily accessible, that the former Leesburg and Kissimmee locations have merged into Tampa to guarantee Long View RV customers the finest sales and service experience possible .
